My son will be in kindergarten full day, which means he'll be eating lunch there. I've seen the school lunch menu and I'm not impressed at all, his school is also entirely nut free. So for a kid that has either PB & J or grilled cheese for lunch, I'm not sure what I can pack him that he'll eat.
I found two links that I thought would be helpful. This way I have the rest of the summer to test these lunches to see if he'll eat them. Kaboose has an article with a bunch of different ideas and suggestions.
I'm also a very big visual person. Tell my about a fantastic sandwich and I may be interested in trying it, but show me a pic of that sandwich and my tummy will start to rumble! That's why I'm excited to start trying the lunches from Parents online. The pic at the top of this post is from Parents. Check it out for the ingredients, along with about 19 other lunch and snack ideas.

We went nut free when we found out my son had a severe peanut allergy. My daughter (now 4), loved PB&J, and someone recommended Sunbutter to us, which is nut free.
It tastes just like peanut butter and she never noticed the difference! If you send kids to school with it, you just need to include a note that it is NOT made with peanuts, so there are no problems.
sounds good i like that idea
