I know it is 11 days into November, but its never to late to think about all the things I'm thankful for. Since my family has only been in the United States for the last 50 years or so, the whole Pilgrim/Indian thing is lost on me. However, I love the idea of setting an entire day aside to spend with family and reflect on all the things to be thankful for. For the entire month (or what's left) of November I will make sure to note at least one thing I'm thankful for a day. Right now I'm playing catch up.
Day 1: I am thankful for my family, my children, and my husband.
Day 2: I am thankful for my safe and comfortable home.
Day 3: I am thankful for electricity. We were lucky not to loose power during Sandy. Last year we lost power for almost a week because of Irene.
Day 4: I am thankful for washing machines. I has watching Girl with a Pearl Earing and seeing what that poor girl had to go threw to wash sheets!
Day 5: I am thankful that I have the opportunity to be in college.
Day 6: I am thankful for pizza. Might sound silly, but it is ssoooo tasty :)
Day 7: I am thankful for Pinterest, nuf said
Day 8: I am thankful for books. I love reading, can't get enough of it.
Day 9: I am thankful for music. Its awesome when you find the perfect song that explains how you are feeling in that exact moment. And its fun to dance.
Day 10: I am thankful for food and having enough of it to feed my family.
Day 11: I am thankful for Veterans and their families. For all they sacrifice for our freedom and safety.
