My Betty Crocker fruit snack deal.

Would you believe me if I told you I got all this for only .19 cents each? Well I did! Betty Crocker fruit snacks were on sale at Shaws last week for only $1.49 a box. I used a coupon for $1/3 and an IP for .50 cents/2 which doubled to $1 off. I also had a coupon that made my $1/3 coupon double making it $2/3. Then I got a CAT for $3.50 off my next order because I purchased 5 boxes of fruit snacks. So it went something like this:
$1.49 x 5 = $7.45 -$6.50 = .95cents (or .19 cents each!)

Food Deal of the Week

I love, love, love Stop & Shop when they have double coupons! I find it's a great money saver, especially if you can match it up with a sale. Here's a pic of my deals this week:
My best savings were on Pisbury Brownie Mix: on sale for $1, used a coupon buy 2 save $1, then used store double coupon. Finale cost for 2 boxes of brownie mix=FREE!
Another deal was on Fiber One Toaster Pastries on sale 2/$4, used coupon buy 2 save $1 and store double coupon. Finale cost=$1 a box.
My next great deal was on Dole Fruit Cups, on sale for $2 each, used coupon buy 3 save $1 and store double coupon. Finale cost=$1.33 each.
My total spent: $23.63
My total saved: $34.05
How great is that?!? I saved more than I spent! I love it when that happens.

Food deal of the week 4/13

I went to Roche Bros twice this week (once on Mon. then again Tues.) so I could use all my double coupons. My mother gave me her sales flyer, so I had eight doubles to use. Lucky me! This is what I got on my first trip: (Not pictured: 3 gallons water)

I ended up spending $24.62, which was more than I wanted, but I did get over 3 1/2 lbs. pork and almost 4 lbs chicken. My savings was $16.34

This is what I got on my second trip: (Not pictured: 3 gallons water)

This trip I spent $14.77 and saved $13.97. I was happy with this trip.

My grand total spent was $39.39 but my total saved was $30.31. Not bad if I do say so myself.

Food Deal of the Week

I went to my 3 usual grocery stores to do my weekly food shopping. I didn't need to get much. My freezer is bursting with meat and I have to use up my fruits and veggies before they go bad. Plus I still can't eat much because of having my wisdom teeth out. Pictured below was my best deal from 2 of the store I went to.

This is my shopping from Shaws and Roche Bros. Grand total for all this was only $11.23. I also went to Stop & Shop to pick up some other things, (and to use the double $1 coupon that came in the flyer) What I also got that isn't pictured is:

  • A loaf of whole wheat bread
  • 2 containers of Pillsbury crescent rolls
  • 4 boxes of Celeste Pizza for one
  • 2 boxes Green Giant frozen veggies
  • 2 bags of Dunkin Donuts Coffee
  • Bag a Flat Earth chips
  • Box of fruit snacks
  • 3 gallons of water
  • and a box a Cascadian Farms chewy granola bars.

I had a dollar off coupon for the crescents rolls, frozen veggies, flat earth chips, and granola bars. Considering I spent more than $15 at Stop & Shop, I used their double coupon and all those $1 off coupons turned into $2 off. Including what I got at the other 2 stores, my grand total for food shopping this week was: $39.06 with a total savings of $29.13

Food Deal of the Week

I’m very proud of myself this week. Yesterday I finished up food shopping for my family of 4 and I only spent $76 dollars (that includes 2 jumbo packs of diapers) My savings: $65 dollars. Woo-hoo! I usually go to about 2 or 3 different grocery stores to do my shopping. Which isn’t as bad as it sounds considering I have 4 grocery stores within 5 miles of my home.
This is my best deal of the week:This deal was from Shaws, where I only spent $11.14 for all of this. Crackers were on sale for 4/$10. There was a store coupon to save $3 dollars off 4 boxes of crackers. I also had a coupon to save $2 on 2 boxes of Ritz and another coupon to save $1 on 2 boxes of Wheat Thins. After the sale and coupons I ended up spending $1 dollar for each box of crackers that normally run $3.99 each.

Grocery Shopping

Now that I’m a couple days into trying to stick to my menu, I thought I would share my grocery list. I’m trying to use what I have in my house first and tried to plan a menu off of what I had in my pantry. I didn’t think to also look at the sales flyers before making my menu so I revised some things. Like switching the summer squash for asparagus. Live and learn.
